Games like Paragon are starting to appear more and more as time goes on. Paragon is Epic Game’s take on the huge MOBA genre, except this game takes it to a 3rd person perspective. Running on the developer’s very own Unreal Engine 4, Paragon definitely looks beautiful.
Just like any other MOBA, two teams of five players battle it out on a stunning battlefield with the goal of taking down the enemy Core. With minions on your side, you thrust your way through, taking down enemy heroes and towers to get to the enemy Core. Paragon offers a good amount of verticality in its map design, allowing for more depth in gameplay than a traditional MOBA.
There are plenty of heroes you can choose from. Heroes look great, with a new hero getting released every three weeks. When it comes to upgrading your hero during a match, Paragon doesn’t include any items to buy. Instead, there is a card system in place. You can build your own decks and use one during a match. The cards that you have in your deck are used for upgrading your hero and are bought using the game’s in-game currency: Gold. These cards may include new active or passive abilities, but can also be upgraded to your hero’s stats.
The card system in Paragon is quite complex, as cards are divided into five affinities: Chaos, Death, Growth, Knowledge and Order. Each of these affinities has their own special advantages.
Paragon is a great 3rd person MOBA. There are already a good amount of heroes to play with. With great gameplay and beautiful graphics, it’s definitely worth playing. If you’ve already played it and want to find other similar games like Paragon, then continue on for more great games of similar genre.
